Training programme for HBO students

For the higher professional education programs (HBO) Applied Sciences, Biomedical Laboratory Research, Biomedical Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, and Chemical Technology, Biotech Training Facility offers two different programmes for second- and third-year students:

  • A Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Day covering the basics of GMP and working in a cleanroom, an introduction to the manufacturing process, gowning procedures for cleanrooms, and a tour of our unique facility.

  • A 1.5-day programme: “Introduction to GMP and Aseptic Handling” for third-year HBO students

Several HBOs, such as Fontys Hogeschool Eindhoven, University of Applied Sciences Vlissingen (HZ), and Hogeschool Rotterdam, have already incorporated the GMP Day into their curriculum.

The second programme is being followed by third-year students who are studying Biology and Medical Laboratory Research at HBO Leiden.
